Connecting Subscriber Data-Pardot

Your subscriber data should be regularly checked, updated, and evaluated. Acquisition, health, and cultivation/stewardship efforts keep your program going strong.

Connecting Pardot

Pardot requires you to make a separate connection, even if you have connected your Salesforce CRM already. Pardot connects exactly like your Salesforce CRM, so these instructions should look familiar.

  • Log in and navigate to the Settings section of your Avid platform
  • Click 'Email Marketing' in the Avid AI Integration Checklist, 'Connect your Email Marketing' under Connect your Email Marketing System, or the Add button and 'System'
  • Find Pardot in the listed tiles
  • Click 'Authenticate'
  • Use your Salesforce login and Password (if your are already logged in, it will ask you to choose an account)
  • Approve the authentication instructions allowing Avid access and requests for the API  (or, if you don't have the right authorization, invite a teammate to join Avid)
  • You're done for now

Go explore benchmarks and wait for the data to backfill (you can check back in about 24 hours). You will receive a reminder from Avid to customize any column mapping and approve default settings at that time. Connecting an email system will also allow you to push data from your CRM through segments in the Pathways menu if you have chosen to use that feature in Avid.

If you are struggling with making a connection through Pardot, please go to the support form in the navigation and reach out. If you decide that you cannot make a direct connection, please follow the link below. When should I use file uploads?
