Integrations and Building the Data Blend

Connecting you data to Avid and how your data sets become useable fields.

When you connect your CRM to Avid, you are authorizing a one-way connection for Avid to consistently update the data blends that are used to power your Insights and Pathways. Most updates are current to the previous day, unless you are manually uploading data through a file transfer.

Once your data has been fully connected, Avid will build data sets for you.  A "data set" is a view of the data extracted from your integrated systems. You can add filters to these views and also blend the various data sets together to create enhanced views of your data. You can also create unique segments within the views.

A "data blend" is a unique view of your data that allows Avid AI to combine information from multiple sources. These data sources are what power the analysis done within Avid AI and can also serve as a source of data to push to your marketing and advertising tools.

We have a standard set of columns that are mapped by default based upon your system, but you have the flexibility to build onto that through the data mapping drop down list. Through this mapping, you will be able to tell Avid what columns in your data sets should be used in your products.

Once the columns are mapped, they can be used in both Insights to create meaningful charts and reports and in Pathways to build segments to send to your advertising platforms and your email systems.

In the data blend, you will find the columns mapped in the data set, as well as calculated columns. For a basic overview and a link to the complete column list, go here.
