Accessibility at Avid
Fundraising is human work — and a website should work for every human who visits it. We want everyone, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to learn about Avid, explore how it works, and reach our team without barriers.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA across avidai.com.
What we do
- Accessibility is built into our design system — color contrast, keyboard focus, heading structure, and reduced-motion support are standards for every new page, not afterthoughts.
- We test continuously with industry-standard tools (axe-core and WAVE) across the full site, and by hand with keyboard-only navigation.
- We completed a comprehensive, site-wide accessibility remediation in August 2026 and re-test on an ongoing schedule.
- New pages are checked before they’re published.
Known limitations
We’re honest about what’s still in progress:
- A small number of older pages use heading structures that don’t step down cleanly; these pages are being rebuilt on our current design system.
- Some content is provided by third-party services (embedded video players, scheduling, and form tools). We choose vendors carefully and pass along accessibility feedback, but their content may vary from our standard.
